Rakesh Roshan Says Krrish 3 was about to be shelved

Rakesh Roshan is a veteran producer cum director. And the major thing is he is the father of our own Indian Super hero not only in the real life but also in the reel life i.e. He is the father of Hrithik Roshan and in the film world he came up with the idea of Koi Mil Gaya and cast his son Hrithik for the role of Rohit Mehra. And that is how the new era of the Indian Super hero began. Rakesh Roshan came into the industry as a hero with the movie Ghar Ghar ki Kahaani. He gave a lot of hit films as a director like Khudgarz, Kishan Kanhaiya, Karan Arjun, Khoon bhari Maang and Koyla. But the movie that turned the tables for him as well his son Hrithik was Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai that came in 2000.

He says that after Krrish, he had dropped the idea of giving any more sequel to the movie. He said when he sat down to draft nothing used to get finalized in his mind, so he had dropped the idea. But, a year ago Hrithik himself prompted him to develop the sequel and hence everything fell into place within some months.

He says the most difficult task was Hrithik Roshan’s makeup as Rohit Verma. The veteran director says that he put his full confidence in a foreign makeup artist because he felt that they understand the role and the needed makeup way much better than the Indian artists. So he hired Mike Stringer, the well known makeup artist for Lord of the Rings trilogy.

He says that it was difficult for them to shoot the father and son sequence together so they shot Hrithik Roshan in Fathers role on one day and the next day they will shoot for the Sons role.

He said that he has also put a lot of emotions in the role Kaal, the villain role played by Vivek Oberoi. He has shown in the movie why Kaal has so much hatred in his heart against the whole world. All the other mutants have been given the characters having an animal like qualities. Kangana Ranuat plays the role of Kaaya, the mutant who has the characteristics of a chameleon. Both Kaal and Kaaya costumes are also designed by the foreign designers and their makeup was also very difficult to achieve.



The film was shot in Ramoji Rao studio, Hyderabad. The film's official trailer has gone viral over the internet and this has started an inevitable comparison between the international super heroes and Krrish.

Why Krrish 3 is not Krrish 2 : Krrish 3 movie

Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra starrer movie Krrish 3 is soon to be released. This movie has a lot of big names and a huge lead role, side role, negative role and background cast and crew. A lot of you might be wondering that directly after the movie Krrish that was released in 2006, why did the Roshan’s name the next sequel as Krrish 3 movie and not Krrish 2. Krrish 3 trailer which was released about two weeks ago, has created a havoc. The trailer has gone viral and has generated a dramatic and phenomenal response which no film has ever got till now on the internet. Krrish 3 trailer has received more views than any Hollywood Superhero movie can get in two years, within two weeks.

The Hollywood Superhero movie, Avengers has got about 19 million views after two years of its release on the screen. Krrish 3 has not even reached the screen and it has got about 13 million views in two weeks of the release of the trailer.

Krrish 3 is the continuity of the journey from “Koi Mil Gaya to Krrish” where Hrithik Roshan is featured as the Superhero Krrish, which in turn is the sequel of the movie Koi Mil Gaya which came in 2003 which is the story of Rohit Mehra and how he got his supernatural powers, which also explains us in continuity how Krrish got his super powers in heredity from his father,

Vivek Oberoi as KAAL

Vivek Oberoi plays the lead role as an antagonist (Kaal) in the movie Krrish 3. Vivek Oberoi has worked very hard for the film. And is very keen and enthusiastic about his role as Kaal. The costume designed for Vivek Oberoi is about 28 kgs weight and is the most costly costume of the entire movie. And the costliest costume Vivek has ever worn.  The 36 year old actor had to wear the metal suit and shoot for some of his finest scenes in the movie in scorching heat.

Kaal (Vivek Oberoi), an evil genius is building a dark force to spread fear, death and destruction among the people of the world.  He is using the army of mutants created by himself.

The actor says that it was his good luck that he got a chance to work with the Roshan’s in one of their movie sequels and says that it is Rakesh Roshan’s genius that he was able to create the character of Kaal and says that with Rakesh Roshan as the director you can play any character even though a negative one with great ease.

Kangana Ranaut as KAYA

Kangana Ranaut plays the role of mutant Kaya in the movie Krrish 3. This her first movie as a negative role and she is very excited about it. She had to lose about five kilograms of weight to get into the dress designed by Gavin Miguel and prepared by lady gaga’s tailor, which is made from a plastic like material  from US. Her hair style designed is heavy structured and tail like.  It took forty-five days to prepare Kangana’s costume and it takes almost two hours for her to get into the costume. She had to apply a special type of oil to get into the costume. The make up also took about an hour.

Both Kangana and Vivek performed their fight scenes on their own. Kangana ever undertook special martial-arts training for her role as Kaya.

Vivek Oberoi

Born on 3rd September 1976, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh

He is the Son of veteran actor Suresh Oberoi. He attended Mayo college in Ajmer. He completed his Master’s Degree from New York. He came back to India and became a script writer. His first break in the movie was with Ram Gopal Verma’s Company. Starring as gangster Chandu. Then he starred in road against new comer Antra Mali. His next big movie was Sathiya against Rani Mukherjee.

Kangana Ranaut

Born on 20th March 1987, Bhambla, Himachal Pradesh, India.

Her dad is a businessman and her mother is a school teacher. She spent her childhood in Dehradun and then attended Science College in Simla. She also got enrolled in Elite School of modelling.  She was also a member of the Smita Theater Group under Arvind Gaur. She is also a trained Kathak dancer and a trained singer.
